Launch of the Pro Carton Nordica Design Competition 2007

The popular Pro Carton Nordica Design competition is now being launched. The competition is open to all design students resident in the five Nordic countries. The purpose of the design competition is to create new cartonboard packaging designs or redesign of already existing packaging.
The competition is free of charge and cartonboard for the creation of competition can be ordered without cost from www.procartondesign.com

Closing date for entries is 1 November 2007.

Three prizes will be: 1st prize EUR 2,000,
2nd prize EUR 1,000 and 3rd prize EUR 500.
In addition, the ”Most innovative design in cartonboard”, that is, a creative proposal which is not a traditional form of packaging, will receive honourable mention and EUR 500.
The winners will automatically participate in the Pro Carton International Design Competition 2008.

Last year’s winners:

First Prize: Flying Food. Designed by Hanna Bruun and Satumari Honkanen, Lahti Polytechnic Institute, Finland.

Second Prize: Scarpa Scollata. Designed by Daniel Göksu, Broby Grafiska, Sweden.

Third Prize: Tingel. Designed by Kristian Paljasma, Lund University, Sweden.

Special Prize. Takeandgo. Designed by Thomas Åkerfelt, Lahti Polytechnic Institute, Finland.
